I guess I should start thinking about finding a Birthday Cake for Nicole.  Ever since the year of the “loaf cake” it’s been an ongoing joke to get started early.  The loaf cake was the only cake I could find in the area in 2008.  We were on vacation, her birthday was the first day we were there, no bakeries were open anywhere, and the one grocery store didn’t carry cakes.  It was the only cake I could find but it didn’t make it any better of a cake.  Here’s a photo of a “hit” cake from Starry Night Bakery.

Here’s the loaf cake, (even our son can tell something’s not right),,,  and the smoke adds a nice touch.
